Hello, not sure if anyone had seen or heard anything about this yet but the Strokes’ wikipedia page states as follows:
“On May 16, 2013, Nikolai Fraiture told a local fan at the Har Mar show that the Strokes will be recording new music in June for their next album.”

Nikolai talks to Zane Lowe (21 February 2013)
Niko didn’t reveal too much but is happy with the atmosphere in the band right now and confirmed they recorded it together (Unlike Angles where Julian did his parts separately). No news of any tour plans yet.
Zane Lowe to interview our lord and master Nikolai Fraiture tomorrow (21 Feb 2013)
After they chatted over Twitter last week about the lack of Strokes interview Nikolai is now speaking to Zane Lowe on Thursday.
Time of the interview is unknown but sometime between 19:00-21:00 GMT which is 14:00-16:00 US East Coast time.
You can listen to Zane’s show here I aim to record it as well.
- NIKOLAI: You guys [the Brits] have Boxing Day, though.
- FAB: What's that?
- NIKOLAI: It's where they make people go out and fight each other in the street.
- FAB: Really?
- NIKOLAI: Yeah, sure. The day after Christmas they draw white lines on the street and people go crazy, like, you know, "RRAAOOR," boxing each other.
- FAB: Are you serious?
- NIKOLAI: No, dude. It's to do with all the empty boxes.
