He hurt his knee back in 2002 and had to sit down onstage for some of the shows, if that’s what you’re referring to. Apparently he was roughhousing at a barbecue. I just googled “Julian Casablancas knee,” and one of the first hits was this (hilariously headlined) article from NME in 2002.
He also wore a temporary cast back in 2010 for one or two shows only.
